Welcome to the heartbeat of ‘Yourspace’: an open consultation by the Party of European Socialists on priorities and progressive policies for our common manifesto for the European elections in June 2009.
Our ideas are outlined under the four themes of the consultation (Save our planet, New Social Europe, European democracy & diversity and EU in the world) Now we want your input, your ideas, your comments.
The consultation runs from September 2007 until June 2008.
The PES manifesto will be adopted by the PES Council - a mini-Congress with voting representatives from all member parties - in November 2008. From October 2007 until June 2008 the PES is consulting member parties and its members on what should be in that manifesto. A draft manifesto will be drawn up on the basis of that consultation, and there will be discussions within the PES between the end of the consultation and the adoption of the final manifesto document.
